Celebration !!
Oh, I love a good celebration! Good times, special occasions—we need to cherish them, celebrate them, and share them. The more we enjoy them, the more we should stay in that uplifting vibration! And the best way to keep that feeling? Writing about it, reliving the emotions, and if it is your vibe, sharing pictures on Instagram as well.
Let me take you back to last Sunday.
It all kicked off when I printed some flyers for my gong bath. My friend Reeta, bless her, took one and put it on the wall of Sainsbury’s in Chiswick. I didn't expect much, but the following week, an email popped up from Sarah. She saw the flyer and wanted to organise a private gong bath to celebrate her husband’s birthday.
I was OVER THE MOON! This is exactly what I'm here to do.
Sarah and I talked venues. Finding a space that's cozy and right for the gong—the acoustics and atmosphere are soooooo important (something my Feng Shui advisor friend Reeta would totally vouch for!). After calling, visiting, and checking availability, I found it: The beautiful space at The Proud Project on Chiswick High St was absolutely perfect.
Once the setting was right, the day itself was great, and everything flowed. The guests arrived, and I played. You could feel the deep, rolling vibrations wash over the atendees.
I had an interesting chat with one attendee, a Sound Engineer, who was astounded by the sheer variety of sound you can get from one instrument. Gongs can be tuned to a single fundamental tone or produce complex overtones, depending on their type. The symphonic gong, my 32" babe, produces those multiple, complex tones—that’s the magic.
It was an absolute pleasure. Hat off to Sarah for being so adventurous and avant-garde and choosing such a beautifully out-of-the-ordinary way to celebrate!
